Totally revamped in 2015, the brasserie Hippeau will welcome you in bright and comfortable environment in a typical bistrot style. Three atmospheres are for choosing to welcome you all year round: the large room with the central bar on the ground floor, a mezzanine with an unforgettable view on the Loire on the first floor and a large living room more intimate and private for groups up to 20 people. In the sunshine you can take advantage of the vast sun drenched terrace at the foot of the Saint Florentin Church on an entirely pedestrian square and without coming and going.
On the kitchen side, the young chef Leopold Fleuriou regales you with the great classics of the bistro cuisine elaborated from fresh products that evolve with the seasons and arrivals. Entree, foie gras and its house chutney or gravelax marinated salmon and zucchini cream are a must. The fishes are also in the spotlight with, according to the seasons, mackerel, sea bass or sea bream cooked with creativity like this superb sea bream served with its creamy risotto.
Our selection of meats is equally raised. Carefully selected for their genuine quality, Italian tartare, entrecote or Angus steak served with a "gratin dauphinois" delight the taste buds of the amateurs of red meat. But the poultry or the pork, with, among other things, a chest lacquered with a king rose of Touraine, are part of the safe values of the house. Without forgetting the original recipes of burgers that seduce the whole family...
